I hope I never get to the point where I'm afraid to speak my own truth for fear of losing friends. You cant lose genuine friends by being yourself. Because genuine friends dont expect you to be anything except who you are. They dont love you with the conditions that you behave or act a certain way, in order to be deemed worthy of their love or support. They dont go and block you or cancel you out for difference of opinion, religious beliefs, political views or social stances. They just let you BE.
So why be worried about offending anyone in this "take offense to everything" culture that has developed? Why be concerned about losing anyone by embracing yourself? The authentic souls who are imperfect also recognize that everyone of us is, and sees in you the beautiful that you offer the world, and they know that if you are struggling in any areas, you will improve them on your own and in your own time. They dont try and steer your wheel for you. They dont try and control your journey, they simply allow it to unfold. Because they wholeheartedly trust in God and the universe to guide you to exactly where you need to be. They genuinely want the best for you and in wanting that, they've already an environment in which you can be your best. They celebrate you in your achievements and support you in your downfalls. But you should never pretend to be someone you are not for others to like you. Eventually they find out who you are anyway and leave because it was never genuine from the start. Authenticity is always best.
That whole trying to please everyone thing, gets really old quick, and not to mention exhausting. If I dont say exactly how I truly feel, it's like someone jammed a rock in my throat. Like I'm suppressing my own Spirit. It's literally an affront to my soul. Like, I've betrayed Self. I think it's important to keep people around who allow you to walk in your own truth without judgment, so that you never have to feel as though you have to keep any parts of you hidden. That type of suppression ends badly. Everytime. So....

SAY WHAT YOU FEEL.
BECAUSE THOSE WHO MIND, DONT MATTER
AND THOSE WHO MATTER, DONT MIND"
