Always and Forever

Though it has been years 

it remains unclear 

as to why you had to go so soon 

Images of you keep flashing through her mind 

Reminded of the night 

you went away 

I pray everyday 

for her to have peace 

For the pain to cease 

in her heart 

I know a part of her is so strong 

But also a part of her, it longs 

to hold you just once more 

and that's the door 

that wont seem to close 

Only God knows 

why you left that day 

in the way you did 

All she can do is live 

with your two beautiful kids 

and the many happy memories you did share

I know you cared for her Avery 

You used to say me 

how much you did 

And although she'll never forget 

that sad time 

May her mind also remember 

some of the happiest Decembers 

you spent together 

And may you live on through her in her heart.....
