Just so we're clear.... neither looting, nor vandalism, and/or violence are good ways to get your point across that you desire equality and stand for positive change. Only love can extinguish hate, and only education can conquer ignorance. All you're doing by taking part in the aforementioned is adding to an already deep-rooted stereotype that blacks are criminals. Stop with the violence. Those who live by the sword die by the sword. -Matthew 26:52 Have we learned nothing from history? It's like some people have not evolved after all this time. If the old way didn't work, you have to change. As a whole, we must evolve for the better. “You either evolve or you disappear.” - Tupac Shakur. I go out of my way to not be the stereotype, and so should others. Cease every opportunity to show them, we're smart, we're intellectuals, we're business men and women, CEO's, and doctors, just like anyone, and show them we matter to the greater good by how we contribute to society, not take away from it. Each person you encounter is a chance to show them what our culture has to offer, and one by one create a positive change. Great change is not achieved on a world scale, it's brought about human to human interaction. "As one person, I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person." - Paul Shane Spear. Be clever and creative, use common sense, and tact to get your point across, otherwise, it's a lost cause, and everything that every other great black man or woman in history has fought for will have been in vain. Don't be a part of the problem. Be a part of the solution. - Brianna Colleen Carey
