The Sound of Silence

 So many sounds all around

My ears in search of something profound 

But without the sound of silence 

The Spirit of guidance cannot be heard 

Once, when I was alone, a spoken word 

in the faintest tone 

Came out from The Great Unknown 

and told of tales of old that shook my soul to it's core 

The message was pure and unbiased 

It said "This life is....not to be wasted, and you were created for more. Go forth and open the door of your destiny" 

Then unexpectedly, the silence was gone and so was the bond of Spirit's connection me

Desperately I meditated, and waited as patient as possible for His Presence to return 

I had never yearned for the quiet so deeply since 

Though I am convinced when all the noise has once again dissipated 

That Our conversation will carry on....

exactly where we left off.
