"Oh no you didn't just said that." That is a comment I just read under a photo. That is present tense and past tense in the same sentence. Now, Im not talking about just messing up the spelling or missing a letter in a word, or an apostrophe, that can be an auto correct mistake. Im talking about literally not knowing how to properly form an accurate sentence. I just don't understand. We all learned these things in grade school. Their are children with disabilities who can form better sentences than that. It doesn't inspire much confidence in my generation the more I see grown adults with FULL capability of learning, simply choosing not to, and then others, who witness their display of inaccuracy, choosing not to correct them out of fear of offending them or hurting their feelings. Yes, by all means don't tell them the right way to do it, let them continue to make fools of themselves and then go on to raise other fools who will, I'm almost certain, then lead us forward into a "bright and prosperous" future. No. Correct them. Teach one another. Even if I mess up, PLEASE teach me. Don't just let it slide. I don't want to give this planet over to a bunch of idiots when I die. I want bright minds and intelligence, wisdom even. All of which cannot be achieved when we don't hold ourselves to a higher standard and also hold ourselves accountable when we don't meet up to that standard. We should want to strive for excellence; not settle for mediocrity.
