The Earth, she yearns to see Your face
Her soul shakes in anticipation
I do not know if she can take this much longer
Upon her stand men who take no honor in her beauty
They act as if it is their duty
to destroy all You created
They trample her gardens
With no regard as they tarnish
that which You made
By Your breath You gave her life
Please tell me You wont just stand by....
Idly as she dies
Tell me You'll intervene
For she seems to be getting so weak
Her future looks bleak
Tell me who will speak for her worth?
My soul hurts as I hear her cries
My eyes well with tears
It's clear to me the damage is irreversible
and worst of all....
I have no idea when You will return
and turn right the wrongs
that have been done upon Your creation
I'm trying to remain patient
but it is hard
I am scarred from all the violence I see
Blood stains the streets of this world
Politics and Greed
Corruption and Thieves
Tell me please....how much more
will Mother Earth have to endure
of these horrendous conditions?
How long before Your people Listen instead of speak?
Seek instead of wander?
Be wise rather than squander away all that You gave
I wonder is there even a way
to heal her wounds so deep
Dry the tears she weeps?
I keep hoping today will be the day
that You grace us with Your presence
Shake the Heavens
Take back what's Yours
The souls that You created
Your animals, Your Waters, Your people are all waiting for Your return.
