Remorse vs. Guilt

Never feel ashamed.

Shame comes from guilt. There is a difference between Guilt and Remorse. The difference between them is: Guilt keeps you in the bondage of condemnation, and Remorse gives you freedom from it. Remorse leads to confession and repentance of sin. And then repentance of sin leads you to forgiveness and God's mercy. And since we know "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus", we should never allow ourselves to feel ashamed. If we feel ashamed, what did Jesus even die for? It takes away the power of the cross and what He did for us. He doesn't want us to be in the bondage of sin, He whom the Son sets free is free indeed." So walk in that freedom. Our sins do not come as a surprise to God. He already knows where we struggle, it could be a number of things, and there are a number of reasons why. There is always a story behind the particular sins we struggle with most, it could stem from our childhood, it could be unresolved issues from past relationships, broken homes, etc. as I said.... many reasons, too many to list. But here's the thing.... GOD ALREADY KNOWS. He knows us in and out. Now with that said, when we ourselves know that a particular sin, has a much stronger temptation for us, we should do our best to stay away from it. But also take it to God and talk with Him about it to be sure of what you are to do about it; and once we receive the answer in complete clarity, do not deny it. We are to do what He tells us to do. But go easy on yourselves please. God understands your struggle; and why you are who you are. He knows your heart. And with His wisdom, overtime, you can walk in His ways stronger, and with more confidence. As we draw nearer to His spirit, it unlocks the door for transformation of our hearts and allows for the renewal of our minds. Just be open and honest with Him and He can work wonders with that.

BE BLESSED BELOVEDS.
